In November 2022, having hired Jamie's Kitchen & Bath in the past to perform a complete renovation of our large kitchen in a 100-year-old Spanish Colonial residence, followed in later years by the compete renovation of two bathrooms, we moved into a smaller home. Again we reached out to the company, this time to completely renovate an addition to the house that was used as an office into a bedroom with a half-bath. Mariano and his team (Jamie's Kitchen & Bath) to work on our main ADU and junior ADU constructions after a very thorough research and after getting quotes from five construction companies. Yes, we did our due diligence of course coupled with lots of prayers for guidance and wisdom. During the pandemic, we decided to proceed with an ADU that we had wanted now for several years. After our consultation with JR, we hired an architect and proceeded with plans and permitting. The process from the start to completion couldn't have gone any smoother. As the ADU was part of a multi-unit property that included trenching into one of our tenant's yard, communication was key to ensure that the tenant was inconvenienced as little as possible while also making sure that their dog was still able to access and play in his yard. JR and his team was able to work with the tenant and work around their schedule as everyone was also working from home during this time. Due to the small space of the ADU, JR's eye for design and understanding of functionality provided better kitchen layout to allow future tenants to better utilize the space. Getting quotes for remodels can be a stressful process. Seeing eye to eye on how you want the design to be done can be challenging and stressful as well. Throw in sub contractors coming to your house everyday and you might as well guarantee that life during the remodel will definitely change. A couple of contractors came, measured and provided pricing that included all materials not yet selected from their suppliers. At Jamie's Kitchen and Bath, was surprised to learn the company has an in-house designer who gathered information, discussed style scheme with attention to conforming with the style of the house, and a preliminary rendering. It was a great and enjoyable experience with JR and his team. I had a clear vision about how I want to remodel our bathroom. But it was really hard to find a right contractor to execute this vision. I interviewed several contractors. But, they all somehow tried to discourage my ideas. I was so frustrated because nobody was helpful at all. That is when I met JR.
